YES! IM FREE!

Today was my last day at work, and although im sad about not making money, and Im kind of sad about leaving the few cool people that work there, i am NOT sorry about leaving such a stressful job.  Lot of people have told me that restaurants in better cities (like chicago, baltimore, philly) treat their wait staff a lot better than in west michigan because they know that if they treat you bad you can quit and find another job immediately, whereas here in GR they can treat you like shite because they know you are poor and there are no jobs :)

thats one thing im excited about in the move out east – people there are going to have WAY MORE MONEY which means they can, i dont know, actually afford to buy my art?

Anyway – BYE BYE GRANDRAPIDSNAZIFASCISTRESTAURANTEMPLOYERS!  EFFALLOFYOU!!!!

30 Day book challenge – BOOK THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE

Its true.   The next two years of my life are literally happening because of this book.  This is the book that opened my eyes to the beauty, fine artistic value and deep story telling of graphic novels, and revolutionized my entire being.

Book challenge, Day 9:  A BOOK THAT MAKES YOU SICK

(but in a good way!)

by my favorite contemporary american author, this book merely confirmed my choices of living a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle.  It was informative as well as balanced, hearing all sides of the factory farming story.  But the part about fish farming… well it was so sickening that i had to skip most of it.

Monday, however, had its ups and down.  I had to go into work for a silly training meeting, and while i was reaching my purse on my way out i sprained my back.  I took some drugs to keep me going, was super out of it, came home, fell asleep, and COULDNT CLEAN (not even myself )… so of course hot guys came over for movie night…

oh well

we had a pete and pete marathon

there’s a lot of fb “challenge” memes going around, and a friend of mine and i are doing the 30 Day Book Challenge – so i thought Id also showcase them here :)

Day 1: favorite Book

I first read Jane Eyre when i was 12 – a teacher had recommended it to me.  That time of my life was very dark and sad and lonely, and it was comforting to read about a brilliant yet plain, lonely girl of similar thought and disposition as me.
