I’ve mentioned Julie on here before, but she’s never officially been a Featured Artist, and I wanted to tell everyone about her new book Je suis un raton laveur  and the raccoon drawing contest she is having on her site.

Check THIS OUT for more information!

Son les ratons laveurs sont tellement adorables !

(How’s my french, Julie – is it OK? )

Gee Im Glad It’s Raining

I have a couple of back-logged diary comics, so I’m going to try to update twice a week for now and when I catch up it will be once a week.  We’ll see  how long that lasts.

So… just so we’re clear and there are no surprises, there’s quite a list of sad-sack comics ahead.

Sorry bros.

i tried to do this one in the style of Julie Delporte.  I love how beautiful and  emotional she makes her moments look, like these:

Speaking of Julie – she has completed her fellowship at CCS and is now back in Quebec.  I am sad because I miss her but i look forward to visiting her in Montreal!

Great Mountain, Remember Me

Wow, such a busy week!  But a GREAT one too.

Last week I barely slept a wink because i decided to scan, clean and print off 35 copies of Haiku Revue in THREE DAYS for the first annual Vermont Small Press Fair.  The books came out TERRIBLE, but I still sold enough to pay for my table, and also traded a TON

featuring comics and art from (top – bottom) Andrea Manica, Jesse Mead, Satisfactory Comics, Julie Delporte,  Colin  Tedford, Jon Chad, Jesse Mead again, Sean Knickerbocker and Jenny Blair (unrealcityimages@gmail.com)

I had the privilege to meet a lot of super cool people AND cuddle a super cute puppy -all in all a pretty successful day.

(more pictures to follow!)

I wanted to give a big shot out to two cool peeps:  April Malig and Rachel Dukes, for helping me put together my books last minute – HUGE help!

Since I already did a FEATURED ARTIST on April, this weeks is, of course, RACHEL DUKES

Rachel is a first year at the Center for Cartoon Studies, but is in no way a beginner cartoonist.  Check out YEARS OF WEBCOMICS woh!
