A friend of mine runs a local self-publishing company called Back to Print and last month came out with a wonderful zine collection of stories about FAMILY. I was asked to do a few illustrations to accompany the stories!
This is one of the drawings inspired by a story of a dad who started feeding wild animals in the back yard.
Im pretty proud; it was the first time i was able to draw BIRDS!
If you live in the Chicago area, stop by Quimby’s to pick up a copy, or one of Back to Print’s other great creations!
Yo Chicagoans, the few of you I know – I was invited to read Empty Bed at the monthly TWO COOKIE MINIMUM. I am very excited to be apart of this month’s All Female Showcase – it’s gonna be rad!
I still don’t have my stupid scanner because i had to send it back for a new one that actually WORKED…
So im afraid you get photos … AGAIN… >:/
A few years ago (two?) i went to a Dr. Sketchy event in Grand Rapids that was featuring the Grand Raggidy Roller Girls as the models, and last night i went to Dr. Sketchy here in White River that featured the Upper Valley Vixens as models

Upon review, i’ve concluded two things are true:
1. That I can’t draw live models
2. I think my drawing skills have DEcreased
In my defense last night’s were only five minutes each…
